Well, other genealogy apps are either feature-limited or require a Mac or PC application. MobileFamilyTree however offers you the whole wealth of genealogical research on iOS.
Although it is not mandatory, you can sync your data with the new MacFamilyTree 6.1 as well. Create and exchange family trees on iPhone or iPad and export them using the standard GEDCOM file format. Or sync directly with MacFamilyTree, if you want.
MobileFamilyTree Pro is the first full-featured standalone genealogy software for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It has been rewritten from scratch and brings all charts and reports from MacFamilyTree to your mobile device. It is based on the same source code as the Mac version featuring nearly all functions from MacFamilyTree.
Importing and exporting GEDCOM files is fully supported on all mobile devices so you can exchange data between MobileFamilyTree Pro and a Windows PC. You do no longer need to be a Mac or MacFamilyTree user to use MobileFamilyTree Pro.
MobileFamilyTree Pro brings a plethora of printable and customizable charts: Ancestor Chart, Descendant Chart, Double Ancestor Chart, Fan Chart, Timeline, Statistics, Genogram Chart and Relationship Chart. All reports from MacFamilyTree are available in MobileFamilyTree Pro as well: The Person Report, Family Group Report, Kinship Report, Person List, Marriage List, Narrative Report and the Places List.
