FoneSync allows Android Syncing for the Mac

Berlin, Germany – nova media today unveiled FoneSync for Mac OS X, a utility to synchronise contacts, calendars, music and videos, photos and events between OS X and devices running Android OS. FoneSync for Mac OS X does not require any cloud or Internet based service to synchronise the data.

“FoneSync is distributed through the Android Market and AndroidPIT.”, states Jan Fuellemann, PR spokesperson at nova media. “The purchase of the software in the Android Market or AndroidPIT includes the Macintosh application, which is then installed from the Android device onto the Mac. The Mac software is then used to select the data and to start the sync. No further action is required on the Android device.”

FoneSync for Mac OS X can synchronise address book contacts and groups, iCal calendars, iTunes playlists including videos as well as iPhoto albums and events. The single window app features a streamlined interface which offers a quick overview of available and used memory of the attached Android device.

“Private synchronisation has been a demand from customers all over the world.”, states Jan Fuellemann. “So we offer a local sync solution based on a USB connection instead of yet another cloud based service on a server far, far away.”

FoneSync for Android is available in versions for Google Nexus, Motorola, Samsung and Sony Ericsson each. A version for Android devices from HTC and LGE will be supported soon. FoneSync requires Android OS 2.2 or higher on the Android devices and OS X 10.6.x on the Mac.

Pricing and Availability:
FoneSync for Android is 9.99 (EUR) plus VAT if applicable. The software is available today at Android Market and AndroidPIT.
