Tickets on the Fly releases HD iPad version – 0% Fees on Event Tickets

Written by admin on June 28, 2011. Posted in Mac News

Sea Girt, New Jersey – Tickets on the Fly, the ingenious minds behind the first mobile person-to-person ticket sale application, are excited to announce that the recent update of Tickets on the Fly for the iPhone and iPod touch has made the organization’s free public ticket sale/re-sale portal available in a full screen HD version on the iPad.

The Tickets on the Fly iPad app is a unique spin on the direct person-to-person sale/ re-sale forum model that enables users to search out and buy event tickets straight from their mobile devices without dealing with price hikes and services charges that normally litter heavily marketed “middle-man” ticket outlets such as StubHub and the like. Helping event-goers get in touch with their tickets as directly and cheaply as possible, Tickets on the Fly version 1.8 for iPad is currently available for download on the Apple App Store for free.

With the release of Tickets on the Fly HD iPad version users will now have the ability to all the great features of the iphone version in a “one screen has it all” application. The app itself has also been optimized to ensure that busy users experience improved loading times and smoother overall operation during use. This app is different from every other digital ticket outlet out there for one simple reason. It’s not a ticket broker!

The team responsible for creating Tickets on the Fly isn’t interested in buying someone’s tickets and reselling them at a profit. They simply wanted to make a forum where people with extra tickets to an event – concerts, sports games, the circus, it doesn’t matter – could easily connect with people searching for tickets to that same event. This means that ticket buyers don’t have to deal with the ridiculous surcharges – sometimes north of 35% – that conventional ticket resellers charge their unfortunate customers.

The developers responsible for Tickets on the Fly believe strongly that finding good tickets to great events at even better prices should be a right rather than a privilege. As a result, users are free to frequent Tickets on the Fly without ever worrying about being subjected to service fees, membership fees, or any other “we’ll help you if you pay us” fees whatsoever! The app is structured so that ticket shoppers are free to contact ticket sellers and negotiate tickets sales directly on a ticket-by-ticket basis.

To help make things run smoothly, users can browse tickets by different categories, which range from Basketball and Football tickets, to Broadway and Concert tickets among many others. If you can’t find the ticket you’re looking for, feel free to call Ticket on the Fly’s dedicated help-line at 1-888-91-TICKET. The Ticket on the Fly team will search out the person that owns the tickets you want and get them to sign up, getting the ticket you want posted and ready to buy in a matter of minutes. Don’t wait, you’re tickets are waiting for you at Tickets on the Fly.

Device Requirements:
* Compatible with iPad
* Requires iOS 3.2 or later
* 3.1 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Tickets on the Fly HD 1.0 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Entertainment category.

Moscow, Russia – GoodReader, the document reader which achieved the rank of #2 best-selling iPad app in 2010, has been updated to version 3.8. Fax Reader 1.7.2 for iOS – Easily View TIFF/TIF Fax Files

Written by admin on June 28, 2011. Posted in Mac News

Sidney, BC, Canada – Corporate Smalltalk Consulting, Ltd. today is pleased to announce Fax Reader 1.7.2 for iOS, a performance and feature update to their document viewer/handler app that allows the user to either view the TIF files generated by standard office fax machines, or convert them to PDF documents for other apps to use, and now has extended Dropbox functionality.

As faxes are increasingly emailed to save on paper costs, Fax Reader works by supplementing the existing document display logic found in iOS, which will only display the first page of a fax but not allow access to subsequent pages. The app includes newly enhanced Dropbox connectivity, and functions as a document handler by providing “Open in…”, clipboard, and Photo library support functionality.

Fax Reader enables viewing of multi-page faxes by first importing the entire file into its storage area. Once imported, the file undergoes one-time pre-rendering that ensures the fax is optionally re-scaled to be optically correct and to provide the fastest possible rendering when viewing as a multi-page document. The user can copy documents into Fax Reader by using iTunes to copy files into, delete, or copy them out of the app. Users can also ask Fax Reader to open documents from other apps, like Apple’s Mail.

Feature Highlights:
* Conversion of Fax/Tiff files to PDF
* Printing to IOS supported printers
* Accelerated multi-page TIFF/TIF fax file reading
* Uses proprietary Can Opener technology to import, store, and pre-render documents
* Pre-rendering allows smooth scrolling and display
* Optional rescaling for fixing Fax aspect ratios
* Enhanced cached Dropbox file download compatibility
* Responsive scrolling and zooming through dozens of Fax pages

“Fax machines are a legacy technology, straddling the 20th and 21st centuries,” stated company President John McIntosh. “Until they become extinct, Fax Reader offers an easy, integrated solution for easily viewing multi-page, and highly-detailed faxes on any iOS device.”

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
* iOS 4.0 or later
* 8.5 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Fax Reader 1.7.2 is $5.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Utilities category. Review copies are available upon request.

Written by admin on June 28, 2011. Posted in Mac News

Melbourne, Australia – Production Shed Pty Ltd has announced Shift Worker 1.4.2, a visual calendar and productivity app for iPhone, designed for people who work odd shifts or patterns outside the traditional working week. Shift Worker allows users to combine visually-attractive icons with descriptive characters, then plot them on the calendar so their shifts can be easily identified at a glance. Shifts can then be shared with friends and family or saved to the iPhone’s background for quick reference.

Features at a glance:
* Create a virtually unlimited amount of shift types
* Enter shifts on the calendar months in advance in seconds
* Generate shift rotations to fill in future dates automatically
